Chef Yang Kang from Lohkah Hotel Group Honored as FOOD&WINE's 2024 "Deeply Popular New Chef of the Year"
On December 23, 2024, the second annual FOOD&WINE Awards were grandly unveiled Under the theme "The New Arena," this year's awards aimed to gather industry practitioners who keep pace with the times and offer concrete solutions, celebrating the evolution of China's contemporary dining landscape.
Initiated by FOOD&WINE, an authoritative food and beverage culture media under the Xu Xiu Hua Sheng Content Group, the awards seek not only to recognize individual excellence but, more importantly, to enhance the industry's understanding of brand innovation and promote the development and innovation of Chinese brands. The selection process, involving open calls for entries, preliminary and final judging by panels, is designed to encourage tenacious practitioners who provide clearer and more precise direction for public dining choices. During this ceremony, Mr. Yang, Executive Chef of XIA Restaurant at Lohkah Hotel & Spa (Xiamen) and Hám-khàk at Kaipuu Belfry (Quanzhou) was honored with the "Deeply Popular New Chef of the Year" award.
